Raphael Holloway joined the Gateway Center team in July 2016 as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Holloway is an accomplished leader with 25+ years of experience in the social services arena specializing in behavioral health, re-entry, homelessness, child welfare and public health sectors. He has displayed a strong non-profit and state government business acumen and understands “how to create and manage organizational change(s) when change is hard”. 

Mr. Holloway is a proven professional with expertise in mobilizing communities, motivating human resources and creating collaborations between multiple groups (private and public) with seemingly divergent objectives and priorities towards a common goal. Mr. Holloway serves on a number of local non-profit boards including the Community Advisory Board for the Agape Youth & Family Center; the Regional Advisory Board for Atlanta Regional Commission: Open Doors, and the Atlanta Fire and Rescue Foundation.  Mr. Holloway is an alumnus of Leadership of Atlanta’s 50th Anniversary Class of 2020 and a member of the Atlanta Kiwanis Club. In 2021, he was received the Bill Bolling Non-Profit Leadership award and was recognized by Atlanta Magazine as one of Atlanta’s 500 Most Powerful Leaders.  

A native of Toledo, OH, Raphael received his B.A. in Child and Family Services and M.A in Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University.
