Hello Z Members,
We had no board meeting in May and the results of the May General meeting follow.

The Z Friday Afternoon Club (ZFAC): We discussed the idea of extending invitations to other clubs, to sponsor a last Friday, using their license and offering a percentage of the income.  Having co-sponsored events on a different day was suggested as a way to differentiate from ZFAC and can be considered.  Once again, if you are a member of another club, please introduce the idea to see if there is any interest.
Continuing Z Friday Afternoon Club (ZFAC) starting in September through November was voted on and passed.

We discussed starting a MusZart event in the club room on the third Friday as before. If anyone has interest and is willing to host the event we can restart it. Please contact Randy or Carol Pace if you are willing to do that.

We have a new craft document titled Z-Club Craft Etiquette, Infractions and Sanctions. This was created to help remind and also enforce our polices. We will also be incorporating it into the Operations and Procedures manual.

There was discussing on the new walk-in cooler fees. The parties wishing to discuss feel the new fee is excessive. We have chosen to postpone further discussion and any subsequent vote till the October General Meeting.

A proposal to add a shade structure to the craft area of the patio was presented with the bid from Boothbilt Patio Products as recommended by Larry Griffith of  RCSCW. The proposal to spend $5512 for the structure will be loaned to us by RCSCW and added to the back end of our current contract was voted on and approved. This was approval for a 0% interest loan. When the design plans available they will be presented to the membership for approval.

We do have a unique premiere club and our membership is friendly. I believe that, with proper marketing, we can become stronger, gain recognition, and attract new members.  This requires a varied marketing plan. To that end, I am asking for volunteers to develop a marketing strategy to accomplish this, and follow-through with the publicity. Please contact me.

Maryalyce previously handled the publicity, but she has taken a new job, with demanding commitments, and cannot confidently keep up with our needs.  She has asked to be replaced, but is willing to share resources and tips with a replacement.

Thank you to all of you.

Respectfully,
Randy Pace
