Biography for Brett Morey

 

With more than 28 years of professional sales and marketing experience in the financial, real estate and transportation industries Brett Morey has consistently proven to provide innovative solutions to any challenging situation.  Over his extensive career he has held various regional and corporate roles with Fortune 500 companies including Wells Fargo Bank N.A., Panasonic, American Honda Motor Company and Toyota.

In 2011 Brett became Director of Sales, North America for Total Power, Inc. and works with many of the largest mining, power generation and transportation clients in the world.  Total Power, Inc. manufactures TPx Synthetic Fuel Additives to reduce fuel consumption and harmful emissions in gasoline, diesel/biodiesel and heavy fuel oil.  The cover of the April 2019 Rotarian Magazine exclaims, “Climate Solutions Within Our Reach” and Brett’s firm is doing their part to improve the environment for future generations.  On average industrial clients improve fuel efficiency by 5% while reducing CO & NOx emissions by -40% or more.  The company was founded 22 years ago by Nobel Laureate Award Winning Chemist, Marcos Dantus, Ph.D who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cal Tech.  Dr. Dantus serves as Director of Research and Development and is a Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Michigan State University.

In 2013 Brett helped form a strategic partnership with Schneider Electric to develop fully customized Fuel Management solutions for the Mining Industry.  The FMx Fuel Management System provides real time data for fuel and all consumables for fixed site and mobile refueling units.  From tank levels, consumption and inventory management FMx integrates completely with enterprise systems giving mining clients the ability to transform service operations. Since this time Brett has also managed and implemented projects to further reduce deadheading in mining operations.  In 2018 the company launched a new product line called PitStop which delivers mobile fuel and lube systems for mining clients, improving operational efficiencies and further reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions.

Married since 1994, Brett & his wife Holly have two adult children and one grandchild: Brendon (23) a fifth year Mechanical Engineering student at CalPoly San Luis Obispo and Kylie (22) who will graduate in May with her B.S. in Biology from Chapman University and mother of 1 year old Tyler Jackson.

Brett is Past-President of the Rotary Club of La Jolla Golden Triangle, has been a Rotarian since 2002 beginning in the San Francisco Bay area and has held numerous positions in Rotary including District 5340 Youth Service Chair and Rotary Rose Parade Float Director.  A native San Diego and third generation Californian he is also an avid surfer for more than 34 years.  He enjoys teaching surf lessons to young adults from around the world and volunteers with numerous charity organizations including Life Rolls On with adaptive surfers and sponsoring the annual Switchfoot Bro-Am raising funds for high risk kids.  In May 2017 Brett founded Surfers Unite Rotarian Fellowship as a way to make Rotary fun & relevant for the next generation of leaders.  Surfers Unite now has over 600 members in over 27 countries and is driving youth into Rotary.  Please join us on April 4, 2019 as we welcome Brett and learn more about how we can involve others in the Rotary Rose Parade Float and use Rotary Fellowships to expand the family of Rotary.
