Interfaith Shelter Network - Trisha Brearton

Trisha Brereton, executive director, Interfaith Shelter Network of San Diego (ISN). A seasoned nonprofit leader, Brereton brings strong organizational, management, and fundraising skills to her role.

She began her career in nonprofits in her home state of Texas, where she quickly rose to leadership in the American Heart Association. Over the course of her career, Brereton has planned and supervised numerous fundraising campaigns and raised in excess of $10 million dollars. During her tenure with the San Diego Lung Association, she single-handedly brought in $2 million in gifts and established a donor recognition program.

She is most proud of her accomplishments forming a nonprofit corporation to raise philanthropic and community support for Paradise Valley Hospital. She has also motivated organizational change to break barriers and achieve ambitious goals.

At ISN, she has already led the organization through a strategic planning process, organizational expansion into new services and increased engagement of the board of directors. As the organization continues to form new partnerships to help San Diego’s homeless, she looks forward to achieving even more in the coming year.
