The One Stop Elf Shop and Holiday Fun Fest

Fellow Kiwanians will be an Elf for a day as we support the One Stop Elf Shop in Downtown Appleton.  There is also volunteer opportunities for the Holiday Fun Fest happened at the same time.

The Elf Shop is a kid friendly shop where children can purchase gifts from downtown businesses for Mom, Dad or their siblings.

• The shop will be located inside the City Center at 10 College Ave.
• The Elf Shop will be open Saturdays November 25th through December 23rd - the same hours as the Farm Market 8:30am – 12:30pm
• The shop will feature items priced at $10 or below and labeled tax included. The items would include products for Mom like jewelry, soap or candy. Gifts for Dad like books, golf balls, or T-shirts. Gifts for siblings as well: toys, candy, clothing etc.
• Volunteers are needed each Saturday to help run the shop:

Greeter Elf (2):

• Welcome to the One Stop Elf Shop!
• Everyone is welcome to shop here! We may see some shoppers from the Farm Market come in too.
• Ask the child and parent if they would like any help shopping for someone special today – make eye contact with the parent – they will let you know.
• Greet the parents and offer them a chair by the fireplace if they would like relax while one of our elves help their child shop.

Shopper Elf (4):

• Help the kids shop – ask them who they are shopping for and if they would like any help today. Make eye contact with the parent – they will let you know.
• Ask the parent how much the child will have to spend today.
• To help them shop: ask the child some questions about what their family members like
• Help the child find the right sized bag for their item(s) and get them decorating!

Crafty Elf (2):

• Help the child decorate their gift bag with stamps, crayons, stickers and craft paper.
• Talk about the holidays and what they like to do with their families

Check Out Elf (2):

• Review the cash register instructions!!!
• Remove the green tag from the item and put in money bag next to the cash register
• Conduct the sale and make sure to give carefully give the change back
• Thank them for shopping!
• In between sales if you have time - using the green tags, record the items sold in the printed log return the green tags to the money bag. DO NOT LOSE THE GREEN TAGS!!
• Offer child a candy cane before they leave!

• Horse drawn wagon rides
• Holiday Games
