Special Night at Quarry Quest

Join us on Friday, September 11, the night before Quarry Quest, for a special event for children who cannot attend Saturday due to physical/developmental disabilities.

This event is by invitation-only through the local elementary school districts.

PREVIEW OPPORTUNITY:  To get a good understanding of the plan, please join us at noon on Tuesday, September 8 for a quick tour.  We will meet at the shop building at the HWY CB entrance (normal volunteer entrance).   

Volunteers:

* Some spots start at 4:15, some at 4:45 at Michels Quarry

* Our biggest task is to get everyone parked (both volunteers and guests), then help the kids while they are playing.  No skills needed. Your children over 12 are welcome to volunteer also. 

* We will have 6 gators to transport kids who need help. Only assigned adults may drive gators,

* Guests attend from 5-6:30 only.   There will be bottled water available.    No food.

VOLUNTEERS - From Hwy 41:  Take the Hwy 114/JJ exit to the west. Turn right on Tullar Rd., and take a left into the quarry.  Go down the hill past the red water tower, then down the next hill, around to the immediate left, near Haul Truck area.

GUEST families Will enter from CB and come down the hill and way across the quarry.  They will be parking along the area to the left of "ramp to upper quarry" sign.   No parking will be allowed in the center area of the quarry where we have parked before.
