Trent Hamilton (right), Canada Safeway manager, recently presented $1,000 in gift cards to the Nutrition on Weekends (NOW) Kenora program co-chair Lloyd Mack. The gift cards were rewarded to Hamilton through a contest for all employees of Sobeys, Safeway, Thrifty’s and Farm Boys called “Words to Live By”. There were 24 selected finalists and then all employees were able to vote on their favourites. Hamilton won the bronze medal and $1,000 in gift cards with the quote: "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”
Hamilton said he was more than happy to donate the gift cards to the NOW program. “I see all the effort and hard work that you put in and appreciate the real life difference you are making in the lives of lots of youth in our community.”
