A donation of $12,353.78 by the Rotary Club of Kenora was made to help in the purchase of new picnic tables, benches, and garbage receptacles for the Rotary Splash Park and the new playground area at Norman Park.
On hand for the presentation in -29C weather we’re several Rotarians, city staff, city councillors, Mayor Poirier, and most importantly, children!
This donation represents the final donation of the $630,000 raised by Rotary through local donations and fundraisers, and including $150,000 from the Trillium Foundation.
The Rotary Splash Park was opened July 2019.
