Rotary Splash Park became a reality in August.  Over 3 years of hard work by a dedicated group of volunteers saw the splash pad turned on in early August and an official opening August 26.  Even thought the weather was cool and damp for the official opening, the Rotary Club of Thompson was on hand to serve over 200 hot dogs and drinks.

Since it's opening, the park has seen 1000's of kids and 100's of families using the park to cool off and play.

The Rotary Park Splash Park Development group were our partners in the 2011 Million Dollar Hole In One and Rotary has helped with other financial contributions.

Total value of the project is well over $400,000 with many local business' helping with gifts in kind.

Years ago, Rotary Park was a park to be proud of and thanks to the neighborhood volunteers, it is again.

And keep watching ... the volunteer group have further plans including trails and exercise equipment.
