With the Thanksgiving weekend upon us, I wanted to reach out to you to tell you how thankful we are for your support. Through your action we are able to provide hope to families during their bleakest hour - and the impact you have made in the Caribbean has been incredible. During the month of September, Hurricane Irma and Maria wreaked havoc in the Caribbean, flattening homes across the region. Thousands of families have lost everything and now they are trying to piece together their shattered lives. I am happy to share with you that to date our teams are working hard to distribute 1,200 ShelterKits, 50 ShelterBoxes and 400 tarpaulins throughout the Caribbean, and an additional 1,300 ShelterKits are en-route. For the families who have lost everything, these resources are life-changing. They will provide shelter, security and a place to call home while they rebuild their lives - and I know they couldn't be more grateful for the assistance you helped supplied. Thank you again for your support. From our ShelterBox family to yours, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Sincerely,
Stephanie Christensen Executive Director |
