Guest Speaker: Danielle Hubbard from Brandon Public Library.  Danielle is the Programming and Outreach Librarian.
 
Danielle spoke on the program guide that is released every season.  There are now programs from Baby programs all the way up to High School teens and adult programs.  This year one of the special events are science programs - Science Saturdays on the 4th Saturday of every month - a partnership with BU science students, with programs for 5 to 8 yrs., 9to 12 and teens.  There will be a coding program - Coder Dojo mentors with help from Big brothers and big Sisters for ages 7 to 17 in November.
 
There will be creative writing groups for adults, Open Mike reading of the Winners of Youth Short Stories on Monday September 24 from 7 to 8:30
 
Danielle left a number of the programs with members to distribute, and Jeanne will take some to her place.
 
WAMMA ( Westman Association of Mixed Martial Arts) is in need of sponsors ($200) for T shirts with our logo on them.  Jeanne move that $200 be given, seconded by Marquita, carried.  Lois will email to give them our sponsorship.
Lois will be contacting Crabby's and Texas Rangers for $2000 cheques, and Silver bullet owes for propane that they used.
 
The Winnipeg Symphony will be at the WMCA on September 30, so we should start our coat check then.
 
Grim Acres are still looking for volunteers on October the 6th Head Shave Weekend.
 
A Thank you card from the Navy League for our donation, and also a cheque from the Arabian Horse show for $750 were acknowledged.  A cheque from the Bloombox is ready for our Mother's Day deliveries is waiting for us at the store.
