Minutes from Last Meeting

Present: Sheri, Dayle, Judy, Deanna, Amy, Whitney

  • Ukrainian school of dance donation - discuss and vote on donation when more people at meeting
  • Sea cadets seeking additional donation for a spring break trip to help cover costs. The club has decided not to give additional money above the sponsorship but would be okay to give the sponsorship check earlier.
  • Beer Fest:
    • Application for trade show went in. It allows beer reps a 15% discount. Application also went out to Peter Wilkes list of reps. Applications are being received.
    • We are doing chili as the food again this year
    • There is not auction prizes on door prizes, if it doesn’t work we can look at switching it back.
    • brandonbeerfest@gmail.com so reps can email that for information
    • Peter approved the posters
    • Sponsorship due by feb 16th – NEED TO GET OUT AND GET SPONSORS!!!
      • Please email which places you have gone
    • Asking Ann to paint the liquor marts for beer fest
    • PowerPoint to include, past events, Ribfest, sponsors
    • Last year we donated a basket to auction for provincial dinner (amy/judy) all in favour and carried
  • Rib fest:
    • Sunrise does not want to do the water, other ideas: voting booth-pens
    • Connie suggested Westoba to sponsor the tents
    • Connie booked tents for us
    • Vendors booked – Forbidden (checking schedule), Cody (lemonade and mini donuts- spot booked)
    • Lions club – crown and wheel –Chris Hiede - Dayle checking into it
    • Judges – keystone, Trent Bartley, wheat king, Police chief
    • Looking at getting regent, Mcains or Maple leaf to sponsor trophies
    • Booked washrooms, golf cart from provincial Ex
    • Pepsi is donating half a pallet of water, truck to store it in
      • Refrigerator is $200
      • Water buckets free – booked 6
  • Dayle cant help Amanda with auditorium – Amy will replace Dayle
