Rotaty Minutes

Thursday June 23

In attendance: Lois, Dayle, Jacquie, Judy, George, Whitney, Bill, Jeanne, Shari, Meghan, Naseer, Walter, Pat

Meeting called at 5:50, opened with OCanada(new version) and  Rotary Grace

Award presentation files were handed out and time/day reminders given.

Rotaract Volleyball postponed due to weather. Holding on Sun. 26th at a new location (Mulligan's driving range)

Reminder about Rotary day on the 24th from 11:30-2

Books to the kindergarten students are being handed out on Monday, June 27th to the following schools - Riverheights, Riverview, George Fitton, Betty Gibson,New Era

Reminder that dues are due! $175 for the year, see Dayle to pay

Minnedosa supper is July 8th , $70/couple for a beef dinner and entrance to draws. Let Jeanne know by July 2nd if you are interested in attending.

Tentative "fireside chat" day for August 21st to gather as a club. Jeanne has offered her cabin for the day. Let Lois know if that date does not work for you.

Ryla drivers needed to drive to and from camp. Bill will drive on August 1 & 8 to deliver the campers. Jacquie will pick up the campers on August 13. Driver still needed to pick up on August 6th.

Arabian horse show is on August 14-20. We are needed to work guest services from August 11-20th . Riverbank tourism also helps, and quite often fills a majority of the spots. Dayle will keep us informed as to shifts needed to fill. We also need to try and get coupons to hand out from restaurants.Jeanne is going to Lees and Twisters. Shari is going to DQ and Qudoba. Judy is going to Forbidden Flavors and Coffee Culture.

Meghan is heading to the Flatlander's beer festival in Winnipeg on the 24th. She is taking some cards to promote our festival to the reps, and doing some intel work :) Thanks for taking one for the team Meagan! 

Unfortunately, Meghan will not be able to attend the meeting this week (June 30), but will be the speaker next week!

Club officers - we need to think about an incoming president. Whitney is shadowing Dayle this year for the treasurer position, Jacquie  and Sheri will continue as Exceutive Secretary and Secretary, Sheri will also continue as Youth Rep.

Date to remember- DG is visiting August 18th. Everyone should try their best to attend that night.

Fair trade meeting this week, we will have to fundraise to help cover the cost of the project.
