June 2, 2016 Rotary Meeting Minutes

Call to order at 5:50 PM
- A number of invitations were issued, namely:
June 5 Canadian Legion Decoration Day wreath laying ceremony
June 6 Fair Trade delegation to Brandon Council at 6:50 PM
June 7 River Bank Open House 3:00 – 7:00 PM
Redevelopment/expansion presentation to the public 7:00-7:30PM
June 8 Age Friendly Forum 9:00 – 1:30 PM
June 9 Brandon Chamber of Commerce Keynote speaker Terry Burgess incoming

- Three Applicants to RYLA, one student for the Junior Camp and two students for the Advanced Camp.
Joseph Hunter – Rapid City Middle School (junior)
Madison Horvath – Crocus Plains Regional Highschool (senior)
Song Qi Shi – Vincent Massey Highschool (senior)
- Summer Fair
Dome Building volunteers filled.
Shifts covered
- Annual Dues July 1 for the 2016-2017 Rotary Year $175.00
- June 19 2nd Serve-Set-Smash Rotaract Volleyball Tournament
Registration Fee $15 for a team of three. Location Aberdeen & First Street
- June 24 Rotary Burger Day 11:00 – 2:00 Price of lunch $5.00. Burger Day will be held at Princess Park
- Grade Eight Rotary of Brandon Leadership Awards
Names, dates and schools will be announced again at the next Rotary meeting (your acting secretary lost track of the conversation, sorry)
- July 8 Minnedosa Roast Beef Dinner
Only 400 tickets sold $70 garners 2 beef dinners tickets and eligibility for draws. Please advise Jeanne (204- 727- 5100 or 1-204-848-4638) if you would like to purchase a ticket. You can pay for your tickets the evening of the dinner but you must reserve tickets in advance.
- August 18 Arabian Horse Show at Westman Place. More information to follow.
