ROTARY MEETING –January 29, 2015

ATTENDANCE:   George Horton, Lois Horton, Dayle Hughson, Judy Seib.

Regrets were received from Pat, Margaret, Jeanne, Sheri, and Jacquie.   Theo is working this week.

George chaired this meeting; it was very casual.

George welcomed those of us who were in attendance.

We discussed the Potential Short Term Outbound student.   We will support this as there is no cost to the club.

Dayle and Lois will go to the Bloom Box on Monday to find out the schedule for Valentine’s Day deliveries.

The Auditorium proceeds were given to Dayle.  Ron James is coming to the Auditorium on February 25.  Lois will correspond with Franz at the WMCA to get dates when they will want us for the Coat Check.

The Beer Tasting Meeting is to be on Tuesday, February 3.  George will contact Alex at MLCC before the meeting and will try to get in touch with Jamie at The Dock.  Dayle has a draft budget (Lois will type this) and we will contact Webbers to start the printing process.

The RI dues bill has been received.  Lois will pay them before the end of January.

Judy spoke about nutrition week.  More helpers are needed and she will give us information.  Some of our members might like to help cook at the schools.

The Winter Fair is March 30 to April 4.

We have received a cheque from Paddock Drilling, so they are our first sponsors for the Beer Tasting.  George will write a thank-you to them.

There was a question as to whether Trevor Maguire has been asked to speak at the club regarding the Science Fair.  We need to check with Pat to see if this can be arranged.

George collected Happy Dollars.

Meeting adjourned.
