Call to order 6:00:
- Ywca – women’s distinction awards gala looking for a sponsorship from us for one of their awards
- Dayle and Lois going to see YWCA(women’s shelter) to see if they would accept donations as our primary charity for Beer Fest, if we can commit to a $6000 donation to YWCA, we could apply for a grant to get back $2500 from Foundation
- Another option would be to donate to the Pregnancy Crisis Centre
- Speakers : Jan.24 Ronald McDonald House, Feb.28 Port in a Storm(Cancer treatment support) April 18 CFS D.E.C.K program, May 23 Brandon First
- Schedule circulated for auditorium and flower delivery
- Sponsors for Beer Fest and Ribfest- list from last year and other possible sponsors
- Tickets for Beerfest are being printed
Ribfest:
- Ron Norwood, Neepawa rotary Club is interested in playing at this year’s event
- Security requirements are still under works. Idea to cutdown costs would be to open the beer tent later in the day (1 or 2 pm) , tent sharing with keystone – 375 person limit, 2 security guards for each of us during day (plus night security)
- Idea to give away 4 free dinners on social media(like/share/comment)
- Music: larger groups (over 5) will not be receiving the free rib dinners for each member. A max of 5 dinners will be awarded per group if they are providing a discount on their fees. Full fee performers negotiable.
- Any new ideas for musical acts are welcome!
- While judging is taking place, no performances will be scheduled this year.
- Extend offer to Joe Beavers , Churro stand, Hogs, Dogs & Fries, Kim’s cotton Candy – vendors being asked to participate this year/have contacted Whitney already
- For sponsorship, suggest that businesses partner with another one! Let’s get more people involved!
