Pat received a recognition pin for recruiting a second new member

A report was received on the Beer Tasting.  We are selling radio ads and sponsorship opportunities – we will have 25 prize packages for the Rainbow Auction.  We prepared a list of names for people to approach – these will be posted in the bulletin.

The glass sponsorship of $1000 needs to be done by the end of January.  We will have to order the glasses at that point.

Membership fees from January to July are needed now.  Contact Dayle to find out what is owed.

Members are reminded as well that a donation of $20 per member has been requested.

“Cooking for a Cause” fundraiser was discussed.  This is in conjunction with the Marquis project and the Fair Trade Group.

Bill Taylor told us about a fundraiser conducted by the Dauphin Club.  They sold Christmas candies and nuts on trays – presold these and made a good profit.  We could do this for other holidays – Lois will get more information.

The Rotaract Club is holding a Dodge Ball Tournament on February 27.  Their charge is $5 per person and they are hoping to involve high school students.  This is at the healthy living center.

There is a refugee work shop on January 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church – 635 McDiarmid Drive.  Contact Westman Immigrant Services at 204-727-6031 to register.  You can also order a $10 lunch.

On January 28, Doug Pople has agreed to give us a table to make a presentation at the Education Building – Brandon University.  This will be from 10:30 – 2:30 p.m. and we can give information on scholarships, youth programs, youth exchange and Shelter Box information.

We had thought to see if we could provide a coat check at the winter fair.  We decided not to do this because it would require someone to be there till closing, and we also have a need for workers to do the job we agree to do.

We need to have a committee to assist Whitney with the “Cooking for a Cause” Fundraiser if this gets organized.  Meghan and Lois have agreed to help with this.

We need to have a Fundraiser – possibly a Colour Run or Chuck the Puck.  Other ideas would be appreciated.
