BloomBox Delivery Procedures
- When possible please comprise teams of people from the same household. If this is not possible, masks must be worn in vehicles at all times.
- Our delivery van will be available on a first come first serve basis but due to circumstances we would prefer if your own vehicles were used. Please come prepared to accommodate deliveries in your own vehicle.
- Upon arriving for your shift/back from a delivery run check in via text to 204-761-5446 to let us know you are ready to go on a run. Please include your name, cell phone number and club (Rotary/Lions)
- Masks are required when entering the store, please maintain social distancing, one person at a time if possible, and avoid entering the store any more than necessary
- When we provide you with a list please deliver in the order presented. Sometimes we need to prioritize order delivery and the list is how we do that
- If you run into issues making a delivery; no one home, can’t find address, etc. please call us sooner rather than wait. We are here to help and wish to resolve all issues as quickly as possible. Shaun’s direct cell number is 204-761-5446, leave a message if there is no immediate answer or feel free to text
- DO NOT PASS FLOWERS FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER. ALWAYS PLACE DELIVERY AND ALLOW THE OTHER PARTY TO CLAIM THEM WHILE MAINTAINING SOCIAL DISTANCING
- All deliveries, with the exception of locations that have staff, are called prior to leaving the store and recipients are informed to expect a delivery.
- For single family homes:
- Mask outside is optional
- To maintain the safety of delivery personnel, place order on the step of the recipient’s home, be mindful of how the door opens!
- ring doorbell or knock
- step back at least 10 feet where possible and wait for the recipient to claim the order
- Apartment buildings unless instructed otherwise:
- Mask is required
- Contact recipient via intercom to inform them you have arrived
- Leave flowers in lobby or on step at front door, do not enter the building unless instructed otherwise when given the delivery run
- Step outside or back to a safe distance and await for recipient to claim the order
- Businesses, hospital, care homes, senior homes, etc
- Mask is required
- Follow protocols for location you are delivering to
- Hospital allows us to skip the line and leave on the table where screening is done
- Businesses may or may not have their front door locked. Place order inside door on counter, floor, etc if possible and immediately exit. For locked businesses, knock/ring bell and leave order by door and step back a safe distance until order is claimed
- Care homes have a designated area where deliveries can be left, usually in the breezeway or immediately outside their main door. If it is outside, please wait at a safe distance until the order is claimed
- Use your best judgement regarding temperature for concerns about the possibility of frozen flowers. If you have a concern about either how the flowers were handled when received, how long they were outside etc. please note the order number and let us know when you return to the shop
