District Grant for Scholarships

Good evening Club Presidents, Presidents Elect, Secretaries and Treasurers,

Attached are the application materials for district grant and global grant scholarships for the 2014-15 Rotary Year.

The application deadline for both types of scholarship is April 15, 2014.

District grant scholarships are matching grants of up to USD $1,000 for club-funded scholarships for post-secondary education. The District has USD $12,000 in funding allocated for these for the 2014-15 Rotary Year. 

Global grant scholarships are for graduate level study (eg Master's, Doctoral) in a field connected with one or more of RI's six areas of focus.  They are valued at USD $30,000.  The District has sufficient funding allocated to fund 2 global grant scholarships (which are 50% funded by RI's World Fund).

Finally, I also attach herewith the application form for Rotary International Peace Fellowships.  These are for study in 2015 at one of RI's peace centres throughout the world, and are entirely funded by RI's World Fund.  The deadline to apply for a peace fellowship is April 15, 2014.
