Fellow Rotarians of District 5550:

At conference central, we have been working hard to ensure an exceptional experience for those who join us in Regina on May 24 – 27!

Not only will you experience the friendship and learning that accompanies every District 5550 conference, you will also have the opportunity to learn from exceptional speakers and engage in one-of-a-kind experiences. Here are just a few of the programs and events we have lined up for you:

Friday, May 25 Evening Event

Early Start on the Fun - Hospitality Reception - Thursday, May 24

Speakers

Make sure you are in the room for our keynote speaker, Mitty Chang as he brings inspiration and strategy to our conference. A dynamic speaker, Mitty is the founder of RotaractWiki, Big West Rotaract, two Rotaract clubs, and one Rotary club.

Not only do we have exceptional keynote speakers, we have eight speakers during concurrent sessions on Friday and Saturday. One is Paul K. Chappell, Peace Leadership Director for the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. A graduate of West Point and a veteran of the war in Iraq, he created the idea of Peace Literacy after his time in the military. He developed the idea further in his seven-book series, The Road to Peace, where he writes about waging peace, ending war, the art of living, and what it means to be human.

We will also be welcoming our RI President’s Representative, Steve Brown. Steve is a former Trustee of the Rotary Foundation and was instrumental in helping Canadian Rotary Clubs build a girls’ school in Afghanistan. He was active in many other Rotary peace initiatives around the world and will share with us Rotary opportunities to create peace.

More one-of-a-kind experiences on the Partners' Program – Friday, May 25

If you find yourself with nothing to do on Friday, May 25th, this program is for you! Government House, MacKenzie Art Gallery, the Legislative Building, a stop at one of Saskatchewan’s newest craft distilleries, and a visit to design house Hillberg & Berk!
