Baby Give Back
Baby Give Back was established in 2016 by a group of Gold Coast mums, and is inspired by Melbourne-based charity St Kilda Mums. As a not-for-profit organisation, Baby Give Back wishes to share the joy of parenthood and reduce our impact on the environment, by
providing material goods to families with young children. Our mission is to support families experiencing hardship with kindness and dignity by collecting and recycling baby essentials and providing this material aid to them, in partnership with support agencies.
The provision of essential baby items like car seats (which are critical for road safety), cots (which reduce the risk of baby and infant death) and prams (which make life easier for parents that are already doing it tough!); can mean the world to a family left financially
crippled as a result of the medical and hospital bills associated with chronic illness, death of the family breadwinner or loss of employment. These items and many more help fit out women’s refuges which allow women fleeing domestic violence, or who have experienced rape or sexual assault, to keep their babies with them; and also assist families to get by when they lose everything in the case of natural disasters.
We passionately believe that EVERY BABY DESERVES AN EQUAL START and work relentlessly to increase our impact in pursuit of this ideal. In 18 months of operating we have helped more than 700 families and worked with over 30 social service agencies.
