A great presentation this morning from Al Mitchell from Livin who presented an overview of their “Livin Well” programs, and the incredible work Livin are doing raising awareness of and helping people with mental health issues.
Mental health is a focus area of Gordon R. McInally - Rotary International President and aligns with this year's presidential theme 'Create Hope in The World'.
Rotary members should offer hope to those affected by mental health challenges — a crisis worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people have lost family members, many more have found their social networks uprooted, and young people especially have had their educational and developmental paths interrupted. As a result, more people around the world are facing mental health issues. And yet, seeking help is often perceived as a sign of weakness.
Livin are having an enormous impact in helping individuals facing these challenges: to find out more about their programs and how you can get involved visit LIVIN | Breaking the Stigma of Mental Health
