Swell Sculpture Festival
SWELL Sculpture Festival (SWELL) is Queensland’s premier outdoor sculpture festival, in 2025 the signature exhibition will present over 65 large-scale sculptures to captivate the hearts and minds of a large and diverse audience of visitors. SWELL transforming the iconic Gold Coast coastal landscape in a stunning outdoor gallery from Currumbin Beach to Flat Rock, Tugun. The main exhibition is accompanied by SWELL Kids Elements, an interactive sculpture park for families to enjoy, performance art, sculpture workshops and masterclasses, outdoor kids’ library, SWELL Fringe Festival including SWELL Art Parties, guided sculpture walks, artists talks and panels, food trucks, the Fringe bar and more. SWELL has been connecting people, art and place since 2003.
Dee Steinfort As Executive Director of SWELL Sculpture Festival since late 2018, Dee has presented seven editions of Queensland largest outdoor sculpture exhibition and many additional art projects
alongside SWELL ‘s Artistic Director, Natasha Edwards. Working together as a dynamic duo to
produce ground-breaking, creative, meaningful experiences for community and visitors alike
to immerse in. Dee advocate's for the arts sector and building communities through
multifaceted arts. Assisting Artists to build sustainable careers and encouraging
collaborations. Creating employment opportunities within the sector. Bringing people
together to experience artistic and cultural vibrancy, to share moments and build memories,
increasing sense of belonging, enriching culture, building social cohesion and civic pride.
Delivering world class events which invite visitors to the city of Gold Coast and South East
Queensland, encouraging them to stay and play, boosting the economy and further pinning
the region on the map as the wonderful cultural destination that it is now and into the future.
