Savvy Style & Training
Prue Howard founded Savvy Style and Training in 2013 with the mission of styling clients from the inside out.
With a background in Hotel Sales & Marketing to leading large sales teams in women’s fashion, she also volunteered as a crisis Counsellor for over 4 years. These experiences allowed her to identify that when you give someone a makeover, it often only lasts until they remove the product. Likewise, when you counsel people outside of the crisis they’ve lived, it can in-fact re-traumatise them.
Herein was born the concept of running Cognitive Behaviour Therapy based programs and workshops, focused on arming people with the tools to move people forward.
With 12 years of collaboration with notable organisations such as Wesley Mission, Dept of Child Safety and the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, she has delivered programs to thousands of our most vulnerable with great success and outcomes. In 2020 she was awarded the International Women’s Day Leadership in Small Business award.
For that past 7 years she’s been delivering leadership and staff development programs in the corporate, as well as Local and State Government sectors. During this time, it became more and more evident the foundational tools she was coaching in the community, were needed here to. These tools enable staff to emotionally detach from the behaviours they’re dealing with (or contributing to) in the workplace.
