Emergency Doctor in Kenya.

I am writing to follow through my proposal for Guest Speaker for your club - our Project Partner Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation (EMKF) Founder Dr Benjamin Wachira, from Nairobi Kenya will be at Gold Coast from Nov 23-27th - we will both be attending the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Conference at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.  He can address your club on the Thursday of Nov 27th if that's suitable for your club, before flying to Perth on that day.

Dr Wachira trained as Emergency Physician in South Africa and returned to Kenya as the first EM Physician in Kenya.  He founded EMKF from one-man team to now over 100-people network including County champions in each of the 47 counties in Kenya with the vision of strengthening the Emergency Department health care systems in Kenya one Emergency department at a time.

Why do we need to know?  Because Rotary creates Magic through our International Service... we find a need and match with solutions.  In Australia, we are very lucky to have life expectancy of 81-82 yrs old, whereas in Kenya that number is 65-67yrs old! Our Rotary Project "Adopt an Emergency Department in Kenya" is helping improve the life expectancy in Kenya.
