President's Corner

September signals the end of summer.  It is also the month that many activities and meetings that “took the summer off” start up again.  Although we continued to meet throughout the summer, many of us had vacations that took us out of the area, or we were busy with other projects which interfered with meeting attendance. As we engage in achieving club goals this year, active involvement by all members will be needed. To continue to make the noon meetings interesting and worthwhile, we will experiment with a couple of different meeting styles.

An occasional “Speed Meeting” will be held; these meeting will not feature a program and should last 30-45 minutes. The goal of the shorter meeting is to enable us get back to the office in less than an hour. Let me know if you find these occasional shorter meetings helpful as you juggle the decision to attend the meeting or not.

As a reminder, the District Conference in Clayton will soon be here, and I hope several of you will be there, either as a first time attendee or as a repeat attendee.  This collaborative conference will strengthen our club and our work on goal achievement.

Best wishes for a wonderful September.
