District Governors past, present and future have recently had some general discussions on when, during the Rotary year, the District Conference should occur. It was agreed that the Spring is a better timeframe for our District Conference. One of the reasons discussed for the move included the fact that a Spring conference allows for a celebration of the Rotary year that has passed. For this year specifically, if we postpone the District Conference until Spring 2022, the chance of having an in-person conference increases considerably.
Accordingly, our District Conference, which had been scheduled for October 29-30, 2021, is being rescheduled to May 6-7, 2022.
This decision may result in other changes as well, such as a venue change. Thus, registration has been closed until further notice. For those who have already registered, Ariane Carriere, Conference Registrar, will be in touch with you personally to make appropriate arrangements.
Further details on District Conference 2022 will be shared as plans are confirmed. In the meantime, mark the dates on your calendar and plan to join us.
It is our hope that we will be able to hold District Conference 2022 in person and that it will truly be a celebration – of our Rotary year, our ability to gather together, and our resiliency in getting through a pandemic!
