Membership News

John Binder shared his vocational speech.  John was sponsored by Chris Warren.  He is a US retired Lt. Col. with the US Marine Corp.  John provided a synopsis of his service history which included time working with NORAD in the far north.  He also was involved in the Iraq invasion.  John expanded our knowledge of US miltary operations  as he had assignments in and around the Middle East until 2029. He also played a diplomatic role when he was involved in political, military, and  operations with other countries such Saudi Arabia and the UAE.  At one point in his career he was 1 out of 12 Battalion Commanders , a position of high responsibility.  He is currently an Air War College instructor that provides distance learning to  students that  prepares graduates to provide strategic leadership, appropriate expertise and critical thinking in support of national security objectives.

John is very familiar with Rotary as his father is a Past District Governor who is highly involved with the Polio campaign. We welcome John and his family to Red Deer and the Rotary Club of Red Deer.
