Jessie Tutt joined us to share "AI-Here to Stay". He is a specialist who supports organizations with AI, both locally and international organizations and brands. AI is a trillion dollar business and is here to stay so we were provided with some background and examples of how to use it effectively. AI is a very controversial topic lately so it was great to become better acquainted with what is currently happening.
Jessie explained the new meaning for "tokens" - units of data processed by AI models that represent smaller components of text .
ChatGPT, Meta, and Microsoft Copilot are all examples of AI that are commonly used. AI when used effectively improves efficiency, automates tasks, and provides data driven insights resulting in increased productivity and enhanced creativity.
Jessie walked us through some of the steps to use to create the best results when using AI to create.
The importance of a great well crafted prompt can not be underestimated to unlock AI potential. Great prompts contain detailed information about the task, gives necessary background information, examples of something similar, constraints of the task, and the format you want the product to be- presentation, video, slides, etc. The clearer the question, the better the answer. Realizing that there is risk involved- information may not always be reliable so it is important to check a multiple of sources to determine accuracy and mitigate risk. Information provided is based on the information it received- not all of the information is accurate.
Jessie shared 3 versions of fictional Rotary Marketing Plan he had created using different AI platforms- very different products for different purposes.
It was interesting to note that the #1 use of AI is for companionship- you can engage in a conversation with ChatGP. Jessie noted that is capable of brainstorming, assist in practice a language, and acting a a sounding board. It can be very similar to human dialogue.
Jessie reminded all that AI is not going away and that all need to have an understanding of how it can be used effectively. He was a great speaker who provided food for thought about our future.

All are welcome- it is great to have people who are comfortable with the app too to help out.
