Happy/Sad and other Fun Things
Jim Foster: Returned from a 5 week cruising visiting everything from Istanbul to the Canary Islands. Noted the recent passing of Mick Davies a former Rotarian and close friend and colleague.
Dagmar Knutson: Great to have been able to watch son play hockey against MRU - scored goal and assist and is becoming an integral part of the team. Pleased to announce that a group of students from Lacombe will be presenting during Climate week on robotics and innovative projects. Very excited about this opportunity.
Ken Johnston: Glad to be back after an absence during his recent term as mayor. He remarked on the warm welcome received and is eager to be an active club member again.
Adele Poratto: Thanks to Jerry Pasman and his staff who helped replace a windshield and install winter tires. Terry Balgobin also came to her aid when a site was needed for a popup site to sell items from her decor business.
Leigh Sands: Very excited to announce that her cats are featured in the recent Humane Society calendar.
Gloria Beck: Reluctantly has had to install a gate on her property for security purposes. Announced that Christmas is definitely coming soon- the Christmas trees have arrived at Parkland Garden Centre
Robert Mast: Returned from quick trip with wife Janice who had a hip replacement in Montreal. Janice is doing great- already off gallivanting to events.
Laura Snape: Excited that youngest child will be married next summer. Hips seem to be the surgery of the week- her husband heads to Calgary next week for surgery.
Doug Hamilton: Off to Victoria next week to visit his grandson.
