Rotary Employment Partnership
Gina Belich shared that Blue Opal ,a wellness and recovery spa, and the Innisfail Legion have hired through this initiative.. Ray Rogers shared that 80% of placements come from connections - reach out to Ray or Gina if you know of an opportunity for possible employment.
Funding changes have resulted in Inclusion Alberta losing valuable funding which has resulted in a loss of staff and programming.
Black Tie Bingo
Mark Thursday Oct. 29 on your calendar. Ticket sales are now live. The committee is now meeting weekly and needs your assistance in securing sponsors, donations and items for the Silent Auction, Bingo, and Live Auction. Please let a member of the committee know how you can help. Leigh Sands is the chair.
Rebels 50 50
The schedule is out and in your emails. Thanks Brett Mauthe. Reminder to let your captain know if you have a replacement and who it is before game night.
Leigh Sands shared that training from Win50 for those who have volunteered for the administrative role at the games will likely take place the night of the Rebels 1st game. .
We will also be resuming collecting email or phone data from buyers as this will help us to grow our contact lists and potentially revenue.
Rotary Blood Challenge Social
The first social of the year is Wed Sept 2 from 5pm- 7:30 pm at Shackehlicious, a stationary food truck located 5 minutes south of Red Deer on Range Road 273. This social is put on by Rotary Sunrise and open to clubs in our area. It is a great way to meet other Rotarians and even provide others with a key resource- blood. Whether you have donated blood recently, want to celebrate those who have donated, or just want to be part of a social you are invited. Let us know you are coming to the social by

Dr. Debbie Thompson, President of Olds College, provided updates about Olds College continuing to be a leader in agriculture across the province and country. The college is one of the very few post secondary institutions that is focused solely on agriculture and is creating the next generation of agriculture leaders by developing talent, advancing knowledge and championing stewardship and sustainability. It is focused on development technological innovation and development of workplace skills. Founded in 1913, Olds Colleges continues to adapt to meet the changing needs of the agricultural industry. The college strives to educate, advance research, train, and be an advocate for agricultural advances.
