Jack: Wearing his Oiler colors and recounting how he and his dog are going to ensure that the Oilers are successful. Since the dog's recent clipping and donning of sweater after game 3 , the Oilers have not lost. Provide a fan if necessary to keep that sweater on!!
Gloria: Thanks to all who helped with the Slack Slough event last week. It was very successful to the efforts of so many.
Jerry : Leann will be doing the "hippy hippy shake" soon as she finally received her hip surgery. All is well and we wish her speedy healing.
Darcy: Preparing for the start of summer and a busier household. Sam has completed Gd 8 and going to Gd 9 at LTHS in the fall. Nate completing Gd 4 and will be in Gd 5 at Camille, and wife and teacher Loretta home after working at Holy Family School this year. We hope he can find a quiet spot to work. Loretta is looking forward to time to catch up with her sister soon.
Adele: Encouraging all to attend the Cycling for Age fundraiser of July 10. Goodwill offering accepted to support the trishaws. John Oldring will be guest speaker.
Orlyn: Completed a 4800 K motorcycle jaunt to Yellowknife.
Robert M : Reports that he is debunking the myth that it always rains in Ireland- minimal rain on his recent trip!
Gerry W: Enjoying looking after his grandpuppy for a few days while parents head to Disneyland.
Dawna A: Celebrating accomplishments of family members - pitching a winning game in Atlanta's 100 degree heat and another performing on the French Horn at the Banff School of Performing Arts
Dwayne: Happy to be back after suffering from a herniated disk caused by picking up his Easter socks!. He was grateful that his wife had recovered enough from her dual hip surgery to support him. Dwayne also shared a tidbit of info- going to be joining the world of a non-profit. Stay tuned!
Grant E: Was fortunate to have former inbound exchange student from Finland (98-99) Katerina, her husband and 2 sons come to the Slack Slough celebration. They have enjoyed seeing so many sights in Alberta .

The 2024 Westerner Days Parade is July 17. Volunteers are required to help assemble the float and be in the parade itself, cheering on Rotary!
Club support is required in order to ensure that the 2024 Community BBQ occurs this year. It is held immediately after the parade. It was a highly successful event last year, serving over 1000 citizens. The BBQ is a great way for Rotary to give back to the community and creates a wonderful platform to demonstrate what Rotary is about. The Social Committee is having difficulty with sponsors for the Community BBQ, volunteers, and logistics. Please respond immediately to Annette Eby and.or members of the Social committee (Leigh, Aliesha, and Judith) if you can assist! Without your support we may need to cancel this event.
We journeyed to Singapore to the International Conference and want to tell everyone about it! It was great to exchange ideas with colleagues, share what we learned, and talked about what could work in our club.
