Diane M: Great talent to be seen at the upcoming Red Deer Festival of the Arts
Gina: Celebrating the successful pairing of a client as a member of the grounds crew through the Rotary Employment with the Red Deer Golf and Country Club. Kudos extended to Earls Red Deer, under the direction of club Rotarian Dustin Snider for being awarded a Community Inclusion Award by Inclusion Alberta. This award is given to individuals or organizations in Alberta whose actions on a day-to-day basis result in children or adults with intellectual disabilities having increased opportunities to be included in community life.
Don O: Recently returned from his South Seas Odyssey in New Zealand where he enjoyed the sailing, riding in a Ferrari, piloted a go cart and sped on a motorcycle. Time spent with his sister and in a condo in Maui also brought a smile to his face. Don presented Ross F, a collector of 'money' with a $5 New Zealand bill with the image of Sir Edmund Hillary on the back.
Dagmar: Announced the 4th annual 10 Peaks Student conference to take place on Oct 17 with a great line up of speakers. A great event to volunteer at! There is also a 10 Peaks Summer Conference focusing on Robotics for students in Gd 4-6. Check out the website.
Leann: Enjoying being out on family land with her son and working to create a summer camp spot. Relishing the time spent with her son building relationships and making memories. Looking for the loan of a gas chainsaw and weed whacker.
