Phil H: Brag time about his grandson who was Valedictorian at LTHS and granddaughter who he was able to observe in action as a page in the House of Commons.
Duane H: Glad to be back. Sung the praises of his daughter Erin and her recent new position.
Victor M: Praise for the local RCMP who assisted in the quick return of his stolen mountain bike. He is excited that it is still in good shape.
Jan C: Advertising bucks shared for promotion of 50/50 tickets as part of the Royal LePage Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Child Advocacy Centre. See Jan if interested. $100 each and only 100 tickets available for purchase.
Leigh : Disneyland was everything it should have been!!! Loved watching her husband build his own purple light saber. Robert M: Has returned from volunteering as a dentist in Africa. He reports that the dental health is very poor and concerning. He also enjoyed the RI conference in Australia and celebrated the work of Jennifer Jones. Robert also was pleased to see that our club is very active in many initiatives compared to others. He also warned us not to become ROMEO's. (Rotary's Old Men Eating Out).
Diane M: Advertising bucks as selling "$5 50/50 tickets in support of the Allied Arts Council. See her for tickets.
Dick M: Celebratory contribution in honor of Nick Taylor being the first Canadian since 1954 to win the Canadian Open Golf Championship.
Dagmar: Encouraging businesses to become involved by providing sponsorship for RAYEC. It is uncertain if they will receive the same amount of grant money as in previous years. Additional sponsors are sought. Please see Dagmar if you wish to become a supporter.
Lisa M: Enjoyed participating in events on the weekend. Troubled Monk had a fundraiser for the Mustard Seed and Lisa also was involved in Prince George with a fundraiser that raised $2500 to address the housing crisis.
Leann S: Excited that Cycling Without Age has launched after 4 years of hard work. A great launch was held on Saturday at Capstone. What a wonderful way to bring a smile to those who would not be able to access our trails any other way. Leann said it well " Always great to be able to put the air in their hair and breeze in their knees . Pilots are always needed.
Dick M: Thank you to Daria and her staff at the Advocate for making the inclusion of a spread for the Central Alberta Vintage Car Club so easy to make happen. What a great way to share information about community happenings in Red Deer.
Ron M: Wagging finger at those who have not yet paid their dues!!! He shared that he has a Naughty and a Nice list- think carefully about what list you might be on. Fines may be levied to those on the "wrong" list!
