Adele Poratto: Cycling without Age is having its AGM at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Golden Circle.  Reminder to mark Wednesday Dec 3 on calendar for the annual Rotary Seniors Christmas Concert- new things in store for all!

Maureen Bakken: Would love to have her mischievous moose disappear (doesn't care what means). Loved Black Tie Bingo and found 8 silent auction items to bring home with her.

Dagmar Knutson: New date for 10 Peaks Student conference is October 2026. Excited about her new flower bulb garden but is bothered by a pesky rabbit or two.  Rejoiced that her son's hockey team won their first game!

Gina Belich: Happy to announce placement of client at Innovation Dermatology.  Check out the recent article in the October Rotary Magazine that focuses on the Rotary Employment Partnership.

Victor Maris:  Reminds all that November is Foundation Month. Thanks to Darcy Mykytyshyn for driving to Calgary for the Twin the Win presentation raising money for Polio research. 

Judith McIntyre: Pat on the back to all - 30 people volunteered to help out at Black Tie Bingo- many hands made the work go very quickly! Shared anecdote re connection between Mary Poppins song track and the polio vaccine. 

Scott Tillbury: As a former Rotarian he was glad to back among Rotarians.

Congratulations is extended to the Black Tie Bingo Committee. The committee composed of Annette Eby(chair), Leigh Sands, Dean Williams, Dagmar Knutson, Doug Hamilton, Debbie Valyear, Patricia Arango, Garth Olsen, Judith McIntyre, David Allin, Gloria Beck, Jenn Whalen, and Cliff Soper did a wonderful job in organizing our annual gala fundraiser.  After months of work, the community gathered together to raise funds to support non profit organizations in our community.  We thank them for being wonderful examples of Rotary in Action!

 

 

Christian Comete, sponsored by Adele Poratto,  is one of our newest members and he shared his story. He has had a wide variety of careers including time in the military and having a record label. Discipline, operating under pressure ,being flexible, and  his ability to develop as an entrepreneur are attributed to his vast experiences.  He wants to adapt an hone his professional skills as he serves the community.  While he was not successful in acquiring a seat on the current city council, Christian is thankful for the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the variety of elements that make up the community of Red Deer.  He hopes to develop a non profit that focuses on innovation and executive coaching.  It is obvious that Christian is committed to being an active part of the community and sharing his gifts and talents. Welcome to Rotary,Christian!
