ImageSarge Shelley Ralston introduced: Guests of Rotary: Marie McNicol, Dennis Roszell, John Oldring, Christine Moore; Visiting Rotarians:  Ray McBeth, Jim MacSween, and Victoria Debonnet

There were Happy/Sad bucks to mention RDC Program Spotlight pamphlets on each table, our partners in Uganda have received a major award for the water school project,  a Hawaiian cruise, a rip to Palm Springs, and reminder dollars that this is Festival of Trees Week.  The festival will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Since there were so few Happy/Sad bucks, it became the Sarge's responsibility to raise some cash.  Three people didn't show up for their shift selling 50-50 tickets on Friday.  Since the pot was $14 short that evening, the offenders were charged $14 each for their absence.  Then the Sarge divided the room into two groups to play a round of "Corporate Flashcards".  It pitted Dallas Williams against Blaine Newton in a battle to use over-used corporate phrases in a sentence.  Blaine won hands-down, but when Blaine wins, everyone pays.

Garth Olson won the 50-50 draw and took home cash and a beautiful calendar for his efforts.

Glenn Moore approached the membership with a plan to raise money for the Shelter Box program for those devastated by the typhoon in the Phillipines. Each box contains a tent, children's supplies, blankets, insulated ground sheets, tools, a stove, and the box itself can be used.  The boxes are $1000 each.  Club members can donate before December 5th, and the board is considering matching those funds.  The donations are also then matched by the government.

ImageVictoria gave us an update on her activities over the past two weeks.  She went to Bernard Callebaut with BJ Tumanut and learned to make chocolates and truffles.  She also went to West Edmonton Mall and tobogganing.

Eric Madsen provided the Club with a vocational talk.  Thanks Eric!
