Happy/Sad Bucks...There were announcement bucks for new member folders. There were happy bucks for success at the Justice Film Festival in showcasing an actual Shelterbox. There were happy bucks for an article in the paper about Venturers going to Madegascar and also the recent cross country Ski Alberta Cup in Red Deer. There were happy bucks for a Maui vacation and a half-marathon (way to go Bre Fitzpatrick) and announcement bucks that our next outbound student will be Shauna Dawson who is off to Norway this summer.
50-50 Bill Mctaggert had the lucky ticket but didn't win.
Three member resignations were announced: Michelle Weinberger, Elaine McFadden, and John Donald.
We welcomed two new members: Dennis Roszell and Peter Clemens
Janice Wing introduced today's vocational speaker who was Cindy Jefferies.
Club President Darcy Mykytyshyn briefed the club on the strategic plan, and said members will soon have some interresting decisions to make, with more details on the way at upcoming meetings. He also stressed the importance of membership and attracting new members to the club.
