What is our club doing for Rotarians at w\Work Day? I don't know, perhaps YOU should sugst a project to President Dan.

See the following from our District Newsletter about the history of 'Rotarians at Work'. It looks like it as a San Diego beginning!

By now most Rotarians in District 5340 are aware that the last Saturday in April (April 29, 2023) is Rotarians at Work Day (RAWD), however it is also possible that some members in your club are unaware of how this all came about or why it is important in the bigger world of Rotary International.

Did you know that the late Bob Watson of the Rotary Club of Coronado originated Rotarians at Work Day decades ago.  Bob felt that as the family of Rotary we should come together by selecting one day a year where throughout the entire District Rotarians would come together to conduct a hands-on project.  Really, what better way to build goodwill and better friendships, right?  Before we knew it other Rotary Districts followed our example and now the last Saturday in April is synonymous with Rotarians doing good in their communities across the entire globe, in over 200 countries.

How about using this as an opportunity to grow your club by making your event known through MeetUp groups, posting volunteer opportunities on social media and inviting people you join you in your effort.  Please click "Read More" to continue.
