Alberta Youth Entrepreneurship Camp

I was away last week as my wife Angie was volunteering as a team leader at the Alberta Youth Entrepreneurship Camp in the Cypress Hills.

Our club sponsored two kids to go to this camp which is run by John's Community Futures group. In a week, the kids learn about entrepreneurship, come up with a business plan, get a loan from real bankers, build their product and then sell it on business day. After repaying their loan, each of the kids in Ang's group made $54.

In all, 60 kids participated; 10 of them from this area.

Thanks to John and Ang for their efforts on behalf of the club.
