Welcoming New Members - The BEST Part of any Meeting!

Joined by Guests Assistant District Governor Val Buchanan (Kindersley Club), Dave Panabaker (MH Club) and Jose (Saamis Club) President Keith Walker called the meeting to order at 7:15.
After a delicious breakfast we enjoyed the induction of three new Rotary members: Petra Mauerhoff, Karoline Fox and Josh Wintoniak were welcomed to the Club by all Members. Wayne Smith (CCDA) was also announced as a potential new member. If you have any concerns over the next 2 weeks, please advise Kambi or Keith.
ADG Val Buchanan extended greetings from the district. She is looking forward to seeing more of us during her tenure.
Meeting Notes:
- September 4th is the official opening of the Sunrise Rotary Trail and Trees project. Please check the email Keith sent out for your invite and RSVP ASAP.
- Dave Panabaker spoke to encourage our city wide Rotary involvement in next year’s district conference. It will be on May 8 – 10th, Mother’s Day weekend. John John is the chair of the event. It takes a community to raise a child and to host a district conference, so get ready to get involved! There will be a home hospitality evening on the Friday night. Food is provided, and hosts open their homes to Rotarians from afar. Forms will be distributed electronically, and also in hard copy from Keith, so if you are interested in hosting, please advise Keith.
- Next week Aaron Nelson, Artist in Residence from Medalta will be presenting.
- Our next casino is going to be in early 2016…note, none in 2015….
- 50/50 was $410, and Milvia was called but did not draw the ace.
