Two students that our Club sponsored to attended the Alberta Youth Entrepreneurship Camp hosted by the local Community Futures - Entre Corp Office held at Eagles Nest Ranch August 16 - 22 spoke about their experiences.

The main focus of the camp is to educate youth about marketing, advertising, preparing a cash-flow statement and writing a business plan. Campers set up their own businesses and use real money which they borrow from actual bankers.

Jade Greff, age 13 who is in grade 7 at Crescent Heights High School told us about the extracurricular activities and reported the net earnings of each of his team's members - approximately $28.  Breanne Micheel, aged 15, who attends grade 10 at Beyond Walls, also said that she enjoyed the extracurricular activities.  She was quick to point out that her team was the first team to sell out of their product and that they made $90 after repaying their loan.  Money well spent from the Club's point of view!
