Martin Thomsen from the City of Lethbridge gave a great presentartion on the City's Well Being and Safety Strategy. By popular demand he will be back December 2 for Q and A. In the meantime here is the link to his presentation.

What is Micro-credit? - After we discussed our new grant approval at Monday's meeting several asked this question. It is small loans ($1,000) to entrepreneurs, where there is no other source of credit, to start/support business activity and in turn support families. Loans must be repaid at market interest. Our $7500 USD when matched generated $82,000 USD which will immediately fund 85 loans and in in year three fund 300 borrowers. Funds are lent, repaid and relent in perpetuity.
