Jim Christie, Community Service Chair organized a project to weed our "100 Years of Rotary" Trees at Nicholas Sheran Park. Thanks Jim, Terri, Sherry, Jack, Murray, Cliff, Ann, Helen, Hannah, Tracy, Derek, Allan, Jerry, Rachelle and Pat.
Rookie of the Year Joel Snodgrass was recognized by P.P. Sherry in June but the plaque is finally hear.

How are we doing - Despite the desire of members to return to "in person" meetings we are challenged to get more than 20 at live meetings. A handful also join by Zoom. We know that there are a number who cannot attend in person due to Covid risks either personally or in their family/bubble. We also recognize this is summer. However, please do your best to re-engage with your fellow members either in person (bi-weekly) or at Zoom meetings. Zoom coverage is also provided for "in person meetings".

Encouraging News - The club is exploring the possibility of a drive-thru Rib-Fest as earlier as this fall. A fundraising event would be great news. Stay tuned.
 
Seniors Dinner - The format of our annual Seniors Dinner is in jeopardy due to Covid 19. Jim Christie, Community Service Chair, is looking for ideas/suggestions to allow us to help "warm the hearts" of our seniors at Christmas time. Email Jim
 
Those wanting a broader but simple Rotary Experience should consider signing up for the Rotary Zone Institute. Due to Covid, this International conference will be on line and available to all at no charge. Each evening Sept 23, 24 and 25 5-6:30 PM . Hear Rotary International President Elect Shakhar Mehta and other International level speakers.
