A Covid 19 update from our International Projects.
In Nepal the incidence is still low with 31 cases confirmed and a population of 28 million. Kim Davis has put forward a project for laboratory support at the hospital in Baktapur.
In Malawi all 450 girls at the APU school were sent home a month ago. Only 17 confirmed cases in the country but almost 500 possibles in a country of 16 million. Testing might be suspect. 17 ventilators and 12 ICU beds total. Lock down caused riots. People would rather die of Corona virus than starvation during lock down.
Costa Rica has 662 cases with 5 million people.
Mexico - 8261 cases with a population of 126 million.
All have a lower per capita incidence than Canada but not all have the health system to cope if it spreads rapidly.
