Last weekend your editor (Pat) was both appreciative and humbled to receive the the District Dr. Monty Audenart Award for Outstanding Achievement locally and Internationally. Pat says "The late Dr Monty from the RC of Red Deer East was an outstanding Rotarian, Known worldide he was a Rotary Director, Trustee and world Vice President but most importantly a gentlemen and a mentor to many of us and most likely a candidate to be President of Rotary International had cancer not taken him in 2015"

Thanks Charleen Davidson from the Lethbridge Community Foundation for explaining how our new Emerging Fund works. We need reach $10,000 before it will become active for giving purposes. Currently about $5,000. Tax Receipts for donations to build a fund that will be used in our Community
 
Rotary Foundation Matching Campaign continues  until June 30.  Donations made to the Annual Fund or to Polio will be matched. Match is limited to $500 per member to a cumulative $5,000 total for the club. You get the tax receipt for the total. Contact Steve 403 332 0670 or better still do it on line then let Steve know.

Plans are underway for a live fellowship get together at Kaela Corazza's rural property on June 27 3 PM. Social distancing will be in effect. Details to come.
 
Club Dues - Invoices were sent this week. Please note the opportunity for those who wish to defer a portion of the dues until December 1. We know this is an awkward time for meetings and we hope everyone will continue with Rotary however if you cannot please send an email to Pat Killoran prior to July 1. killoran.rotary@gmail.com
 
The Family Center Bottle Drive, the community project of Jeff Warren's Team January, netted more bottles and cans than they had ever seen before at the Bottle depot. So many in fact, they are still counting the proceeds!!! Stay tuned.
