Fellow Rotarians, meeting live is a challenge but doing Service is apparently not. Our Motto, "Service Above Self" This bulletin references no less than eight (8) activities, fundraisers and projects in which we are active at this very moment.
Stand up and feel proud
Over 45 members and guests enjoyed the presentation on Polio from Aziz Memon from Karachi Pakistan. Can you imagine negotiating with the Taliban or dealing with the families of over 200 murdered volunteer vaccinators in the name of Polio Eradication? We actually have the easy job....raising the money?
Campaign May 26 to June 30 - Steve Craig Announced the Club will match all donations to the Rotary Foundation (either Polio or the Annual Fund). Donations must be made before June 30 and matching is limited to $500 per member to a cumulative $5,000 total for the club.. You get the tax receipt for the total. Contact Steve 403 332 0670 or better still do it on line then let Steve know.
There will be a NEW Pay It forward Lunch Money campaign beginning June 1 to benefit the Salvation Army. Details next week. The Fundraiser for the Soup Kitchen is at $4720....just a smidgeon more to get to the $5,000 target.

Building on Last weeks news another grant approval for Nepal this week taking recent approvals to over $100,000 USD for projects in Nepal and Costa Rica which together will complete work of $234,000 USD.
This week Jim Christie submitted a Covid 19 project to the District to purchase tablets for the many homes managed by the Greenacres Foundation to support communication between residents and loved ones. $2500 Club money and $7500 District Grant. Awaiting approval.
District Survey Covid 19 - You received a survey last week. Please complete it at the link below. The club will receive feedback on our results in addition to the District summary. Our goal is 40 completions.
