Todd starts his days with a steaming cup of coffee and a refreshing walk around the nearby lake, accompanied by his loyal furry companion. From there, each day is quite different but busy every day, blending Rotary commitments, golf excursions, YMCA workouts, and winter curling with friends. Amid his busy routine, Todd prioritizes quality time with his girlfriend Shelley and cherished visits to his three grandchildren in Okotoks. And of course, he eagerly anticipates his yearly golfing retreat to Arizona, a cherished tradition that feeds his passion for travel and adventure.

Inspired by his father-in-law, Bill Gillott, a respected past district governor of Calgary Downtown Rotary Club, Todd's Rotary journey began over two decades ago. Bill's invitation to a Rotary meeting sparked Todd's interest, leading him to play a pivotal role in founding the Calgary Millennium Rotary Club, bringing together like-minded individuals in northeast Calgary.

For Todd, the magic of Rotary lies in its ability to make a real difference, both locally and globally. His involvement in the Ukrainian settlement project for evacuees stands out as a highlight, where he witnessed firsthand the joy and gratitude of families finding refuge in Canada, thanks to Rotary's support.

To those considering joining Rotary, Todd's advice is simple: take your time to get involved, find your niche, and enjoy the camaraderie and friendships that come with it. And remember, every contribution counts, no matter how big or small.

Outside of Rotary, Todd enjoys exploring his culinary skills, with a growing collection of over 250 recipes on his app. In his semi-retirement, he also makes sure to stay active with golfing, curling, and regular workouts.
