In the small community of Zoncuano, Costa Rica, for the past 10 years our club has purchased school supplies for these students. This is delivery day!
Thanks to the Lethbridge Herald, a photo of the Rotary Family Christmas Lunch Dec 20 1982. Several of you have asked about Honorary Member Duncan Rand (Lethbridge City Library). Here he is with his family.
Thank you notes from the student recipients of our scholarship money at the Coalhurst High School.

The correct answer to last weeks quiz was 28 human faces." Congrats Wayne Stewart the second correct answer, .

Dues are overdue. Reminder sent last week to the 28 affected. Your attention please.

Encouraging News - The club is exploring the possibility of a drive-thru Rib-Fest as earlier as this fall. A fundraising event would be great news. Stay tuned.

Seniors Dinner - The format of our annual Seniors Dinner is in jeopardy due to Covid 19. Jim Christie, Community Service Chair, is looking for ideas/suggestions to allow us to help "warm the hearts" of our seniors at Christmas time. Email Jim

Those wanting a broader but simple Rotary Experience should consider signing up for the Rotary Zone Institute. Due to Covid, this International conference will be on line and available to all at no charge. Each evening Sept 23, 24 and 25 5-6:30 PM . Hear Rotary International President Elect Shakhar Mehta and other International level speakers.

The club's 2020 Meeting Plans call for a four week program rotation, each week featuring one of the following....... Outside speakers, Fellowship meetings, Vocational speakers and Rotary Education. If you have any suggested speakers or topics please contact Dennis Chinner dennis.chinner@rbc.com

Membership and New members - As we sorted out membership at the end of last Rotary year, our numbers reduced to 74 regular members and 11 honorary. During July we lost another two reducing regular members to 72. Although bi-weekly "live" meetings might not be ideal for recruitment we need to rebuild our numbers. Each of us has a responsibility to keep ours eyes open for someone around us who might make a good Rotarian. Its not hard....."Bring someone to lunch"!
