In this edition of our Rotary Member Spotlight, we are thrilled to feature David Agema, a dedicated Rotarian and a seasoned real estate advisor since 1981. David's journey in real estate and his commitment to Rotary exemplify a life dedicated to professionalism and community service.

A Day in the Life of David Agema David's day begins at the crack of dawn, 5:30 am to be precise. His mornings are spent in the company of friends over coffee, a routine that sets the tone for his day. By 8:30 am, he's at his office, diving into the day's tasks and making most of his decisions by 10:30 am. A significant part of his day is dedicated to prospecting for business, which includes marketing, managing radio ads, and keeping a keen eye on the properties for sale and those sought by buyers. Beyond his real estate endeavours, David diligently keeps up with various economic indicators, including interest rates, inflation, market trends, and even oil and gas statistics, understanding their profound impact on his work. His afternoons are a blend of Rotary club activities, gym sessions, or walks with his dog, followed by evenings focused on continual business improvement.

Inspiration to Join Rotary David was drawn to Rotary by the desire to meet good people and do meaningful work that helps others progress in life. He values the gratitude that comes from giving, and making the world a better place. The club's rich history and leadership were additional factors that inspired his commitment to Rotary.

What Makes Rotary Unique For David, the essence of Rotary lies in its relentless pursuit of doing good in the world, breaking down barriers, and ensuring no one is left behind. This inclusive and proactive approach is what he believes sets Rotary apart.

Memorable Rotary Initiatives The initiative that stands out to David was his recent work at Honkers Pub, where he focused on building fellowship within the Rotary family. This project was significant to him, as he saw it as a means to grow the club and enhance its capacity for good works.

Advice for Potential Rotary Members David advises those considering joining Rotary to embrace the opportunity to make a difference. He believes that the essence of life is to help others and that even a kind word or spreading goodwill daily can make a significant impact. He encourages a continuous cycle of helping others who, in turn, help more people.

Personal Enjoyment Outside his professional and Rotary commitments, David finds joy in the Rocky Mountains and the Flathead Valley of Montana. He is an avid skier in the winter, enjoys the lake in the summer, and engages in biking and hiking. He loves playing hockey, building his business, travelling to warm climates during winter, and has a passion for cars and trucks. David cherishes the fulfilling life he shares with his wife, Elaine, and believes in solving problems through effort, belief, and a shared vision for a better world.

David Agema's story is a remarkable example of balancing a successful career with a deep commitment to community service. His dedication to Rotary's ideals and his enthusiasm for life make him an exceptional member of our Rotary family.
