Hi everyone,

I hope you had a good week & weekend. Wow, what a warm Sunday we experienced for the 1st day of August!

Last Wednesday’s meeting we heard of Adrian & Anne’s latest travel adventure that they were finally able to get away for, however they weren’t able to experience exactly the destinations they had planned for, but they did see quite a bit of the NT and did stay safe. Thanks Adrian for sharing this experience with us at short notice, and it was good that you could finally get away.

The latest snap lockdown of the South East Corner of Queensland from Saturday at 4pm has thrown yet more turmoil into many people’s lives. We are once again in an extremely trying time that again affects our daily lives that we don’t have any control of, however we adapt & stay focused during these times to make the most we can to work with these restrictions & to make sure we all stay safe.

The yearly membership fees have been sent out & please contact me if you would like to discuss anything with me.

Whilst we still meet each Wednesday to share some fellowship, our guest speakers have been halted slightly due to current restrictions., so still come along to share some fellowship & get away from the office desk for those who work. Don’t forget Wednesday week 11th August we have DG Jeff attending our meeting so please come along to share with Jeff our club & the wonderful members that we have, and think of some questions you might like Jeff to answer.

Leila & David are still scheduled for another Birthing kits working bee this Saturday however it will need to be limited to only five (5) volunteers attending so please let Leila know if you can assist on Saturday.

Until Wednesday, take care & stay safe,

Centenary President, Robert
